Nordea Open: Djere books spot in last eight, beating surprising Huesler

Serb Laslo Djere defeated Swiss qualifier Marc-Andrea Huesler 7-5, 6-2 to advance to the last eight of the Nordea Open at the Båstads tennisstadion in Bastad on Thursday.

Djere, ranked No 53, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Federico Coria and Russian Andrey Rublev, the second seed, next.

The Serb won against Italian wildcard Lorenzo Musetti (6-3, 7-5) in the previous round of the Bastad. Huesler, ranked No 108, won against Dane Holger Rune, the No 7 seed (6-3, 6-4).
