Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina advanced to the second round of the Nordea Open by winning against Portuguese João Sousa 6-4, 6-2 at the Båstads tennisstadion in Bastad on Tuesday.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 36, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 8 seed, and Italian Fabio Fognini next.
