Nordea Open: Carreno Busta makes semi-finals
Pablo Carreno Busta defeated Diego Schwartzman 6-1, 6-0 on Friday. He’ll face Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo in the next round
Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta, the No 5 seed, beat Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 3 seed, 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the last four of the Nordea Open at the Båstads tennisstadion in Bastad on Friday.
Carreno Busta, ranked No 18, will play Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Spaniard won against Swiss wildcard Stan Wawrinka (7-5, 6-4) and edged out Albert Ramos Vinolas (4-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5).
Schwartzman, ranked No 14, won against Swede wildcard Elias Ymer (7-5, 6-3) in the previous round of the Bastad.
