Carballes Baena beat Denis Yevseyev 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 and will play the winner of the match between Andrey Rublev and Thiago Agustin Tirante in the next round
Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena beat Kazakh qualifier Denis Yevseyev 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 to reach the last eight of the Nordea Open at the Båstads tennisstadion.
Carballes Baena, ranked No 54, will play the winner of the match between Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, and Argentinian Thiago Agustin Tirante next.
The Spaniard won against Russian Roman Safiullin, the No 6 seed (5-7, 7-6 (3), 6-3) in the previous round of the Swedish Open.
During the first round of the Swedish Open, Yevseyev, ranked No 160, won against Frenchman Alexandre Muller (7-5, 7-5).
