No 7 seed Nuno Borges won against Henrique Rocha 1-6, 6-4, 6-0 to reach the last eight of the Nordea Open at the Båstads tennisstadion.
Borges, ranked No 51, will play Kazakh qualifier Timofey Skatov next.
Nuno Borges beat Italian lucky loser Andrea Pellegrino (6-2, 7-6 (3)) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Swedish Open, Rocha, ranked No 182, defeated Argentinian Camilo Ugo Carabelli (4-6, 6-2, 6-2).
