Nordea Open: Ajdukovic edges past Kotov to make quarter-finals

Croat qualifier Duje Ajdukovic beat Russian Pavel Kotov, the No 8 seed, 7-6 (7), 3-6, 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Nordea Open at the Båstads tennisstadion.
Ajdukovic, ranked No 130, will face Brazilian Thiago Monteiro next.
The Croat won against Frenchman Luca Van Assche (6-3, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Swedish Open, Kotov, ranked No 60, won against Chilean Cristian Garin (6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1).
