Djokovic grouped with Sinner, Tsitsipas and Rune at ATP Finals – updated with day one schedule
Djokovic will be bidding to win the event for a record seventh time
Defending champion Novak Djokovic was handed a tough draw for the ATP Finals in Turin on Thursday after he was placed alongside home favourite Jannik Sinner, Greece’s Stefanos Tstisipas and Dane Holger Rune for the round-robin stages.
The four men make up the Green Group, with world No 2 Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev placed in the Red Group. The top two in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
World No 1 Djokovic is bidding to win the event for a record seventh time while just one win in thee round-robin stages would give him the year-end No 1 ranking ahead of Alcaraz.

The first match of the ATP Finals will see Sinner taking on Tsitsipas in the afternoon session on Sunday November 12, with six-time champion Djokovic facing Rune in the evening, a repeat of their recent quarter-final battle in Paris and their fifth clash in a burgeoning rivalry.
The ATP Finals begin in Turin on Nov 12.
