Navone crushes Shevchenko in Santiago opener

Mariano Navone made quick work of Alexander Shevchenko on Tuesday in Santiago. Navone will go up against Damir Dzumhur for a place in the quarter-finals.

Argentina’s Mariano Navone, the No 6 seed, cruised past Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko 6-2, 6-2 to reach the second round of the Chile Open at the Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago de Chile on Tuesday afternoon.

Navone, ranked No 64, will next face Bosnia’s Damir Dzumhur.
