Nadal shares latest steps in comeback via social media video
Rafael Nadal’s intended return to the court seems to be making decent headway
The comeback continues – and Rafael Nadal has shared his progress via his own social media channels.
The Spaniard’s return from injury has been chronicled primarily by fans and observers spotting him in training – but on Wednesday he shared a clip of him on court, hitting some gentle practice strokes.
He captioned it with two emojis: a tick-box, and a smiling face with sunglasses.
Now 37, he has not played on tour since the Australian Open, and had surgery on his hip earlier in the summer. His struggles with a chronic foot problem are also well documented.
However, he has made it clear that he intends to retire on his own terms, and expects 2024 to be his last year in action.
