Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp advanced to the second round of the Munich Open by winning against Russian qualifier Ivan Gakhov 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Tuesday.
Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 89, will face No 4 seed Jan-Lennard Struff next.
