Munar runs away from Seyboth Wild in third set to advance at Rio Open

Jaume Munar blanked Thiago Seyboth Wild in their third set on Day 1 in Rio de Janeiro. Munar will go up against either Tomas Barrios Vera or Jaime Faria in the last 16.

Jaume Munar reached the second round of the Rio Open by defeating Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Monday night.

The Spaniard converted five of seven break points to prevail in one hour and 55 minutes.

Munar, ranked No 55, will next face the winner of a match between Chilean qualifier Tomas Barrios Vera and Portuguese lucky loser Jaime Faria.
