Montreal Masters: Sonego into second round

Italian Lorenzo Sonego edged out Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor 7-6 (7), 5-7, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Montreal Masters at Stade IGA on Tuesday evening.

Sonego, ranked No 57, will play the winner of the match between American Frances Tiafoe and Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 15 seed, next.
