Khachanov battles past Cerundolo at National Bank Open
Karen Khachanov defeats Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets to advance at the National Bank Open on Monday. The Russian awaits either Marin Čilić or Borna Coric in the next round.

Karen Khachanov reached the second round of the Montreal Masters with a 7-6(4), 5-7, 6-3 victory over Francisco Cerundolo on Monday evening.
Khachanov, ranked No 28, will next play the winner of the match between No 13 seed Marin Čilić and Borna Coric.
