Montreal Masters: Hurkacz reaches quarter-finals
Hubert Hurkacz edged out Arthur Rinderknech 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday night and will play Australian Alexei Popyrin in the next round

Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 4 seed, edged out French qualifier Arthur Rinderknech 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the Montreal Masters at Stade IGA on Saturday night.
Hurkacz, ranked No 6, will play Australian Alexei Popyrin next.
In the previous round of the Rogers Cup, the Pole edged out Australian qualifier Thanasi Kokkinakis (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (6)).
Rinderknech, ranked No 65, edged out Adrian Mannarino (6-4, 2-6, 6-4) and beat Italian Flavio Cobolli (6-3, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
