Montreal Masters: Etcheverry through to second round to face Rublev
The Argentine defeated Chile’s Nicolas Jarry 7-6 (5), 6-7 (5), 6-2 in the first round on Tuesday

Argentina’s Tomas Martin Etcheverry defeated Chile’s Nicolas Jarry 7-6 (5), 6-7 (5), 6-2 to reach the second round of the Montreal Masters at Stade IGA on Tuesday.
This was the Argentine’s third win in five meetings over Jarry on the ATP Tour (5-2 if you include ATP Qualifying and Challenger results).
Etcheverry, ranked No 38, will face No 5 seed Andrey Rublev next. This will be the first meeting between the two players.
