Montreal Masters: Duckworth advances to second round

Australian lucky loser James Duckworth won against American Marcos Giron 6-4, 6-1 to move into the second round of the Montreal Masters on Wednesday.

Duckworth, ranked No. 80, will face a tough test on Thursday in the form No. 6 seed Casper Ruud, who will be looking to kick his North American hard court season off in the best possible fashion.
