Montreal Masters: Cressy beats Karatsev

American Maxime Cressy reached the second round of the Montreal Masters by winning against Russian Aslan Karatsev 6-4, 6-4 at Stade IGA on Tuesday.

Cressy, ranked No 31, will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Gael Monfils, the No 17 seed, and Spaniard Pedro Martinez next.
