Wildcard Harold Mayot advanced to the quarter-finals of the Montpellier Open by beating Benoit Paire 6-1, 6-4 at the Sud de France Arena.
Mayot, ranked No 144, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Cazaux and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 3 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Montpellier tournament, Harold Mayot defeated wildcard Lucas Pouille (6-4, 7-5).
Paire, ranked No 112, won against No 5 seed Andy Murray (2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3) in the first round of the Montpellier tournament.
