Monte-Carlo Masters: Struff stuns Ruud to move into the quarter-finals!

German qualifier Jan-Lennard Struff reached the quarter-finals of the Monte-Carlo Masters with an upset win over Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 4 seed, 6-1, 7-6 (6) at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Thursday.
Struff, ranked No 100, will face the winner of the match between No 5 seed Andrey Rublev and No 9 seed Karen Khachanov next.
Ahead of his victory, the German defeated Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas (6-4, 6-3) and Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 14 seed (6-3, 6-2).
Ruud, ranked No 4, won against Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp (7-5, 7-6 (1)) in the previous round of the Monte-Carlo tournament.
