Monte-Carlo Masters: Popyrin into second round

Australian qualifier Alexei Popyrin reached the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters by beating Serb lucky loser Dusan Lajovic 7-6 (1), 6-3 at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Monday.

Popyrin, ranked No 95, will play Chilean Nicolas Jarry next.
