Monte-Carlo Masters: Ofner reaches second round, faces Zverev next

Austrian Sebastian Ofner won against Daniel Evans 6-1, 6-4 to advance to the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Monday.

The win breaks Ofner’s seven-match losing streak on clay, with his last victory coming in his run to the Bastad quarter-final last July.

Ofner, ranked No 44, will face No 5 seed Alexander Zverev next.
