Monte-Carlo Masters: Khachanov moves into second round, beats last year’s finalist Davidovich Fokina

Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 9 seed, won against Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Tuesday.

Khachanov, ranked No 12, will face the winner of the match between Daniel Evans and Belarusian qualifier Ilya Ivashka next.
