Monte-Carlo Masters: Humbert reaches last 16

Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 14 seed, won against Chinese Zhizhen Zhang 6-1, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Monte-Carlo Masters at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.

Humbert, ranked No 15, will play Italian lucky loser Lorenzo Sonego next.

The Frenchman beat Argentinian qualifier Federico Coria (4-6, 6-1, 6-2) ahead of his victory.

In the previous round of the Monte-Carlo tournament, Zhang, ranked No 49, won against American Marcos Giron (6-4, 3-6, 6-3).
