Monte-Carlo Masters: Dimitrov makes second round
Grigor Dimitrov defeated Valentin Vacherot 7-5, 6-2 on Monday. He’ll play the winner of the match between Serb Miomir Kecmanovic and Italian wildcard Matteo Berrettini in the next round

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 9 seed, advanced to the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters by beating Monégasque wildcard Valentin Vacherot 7-5, 6-2 at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Monday.
This is Dimitrov’s first tournament ranked in the ATP Top 10 since the Masters 1000 in Paris in 2018, and he is now 7-0 in his opening rounds this year.
Dimitrov, ranked No 9, will play the winner of the match between Serb Miomir Kecmanovic and Italian wildcard Matteo Berrettini next.
