Monte-Carlo Masters: De Minaur beats Murray in straight sets, reaches second round

Australian Alex de Minaur, the No 14 seed, moved into the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters by beating Andy Murray 6-1, 6-3 in less than 90 minutes at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Monday.

De Minaur, ranked No 19, will face German qualifier Jan-Lennard Struff next.

Murray hit only nine winners and made 29 unforced errors in his comeback to Monte-Carlo after a six-year absence.
