Monfils takes down De Minaur in Cincinnati second round
Gael Monfils beat Alex de Minaur in straight sets at the Cincinnati Masters on Wednesday and will play either Novak Djokovic or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

Gael Monfils continued his fine form with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Alex de Minaur in round two of the Western & Southern Open on Wednesday afternoon.
Monfils awaits either world No 1 Novak Djokovic or Toronto semi-finalist Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the last 16.
The Frenchman is coming off a quarter-final run at the Toronto Masters, where he lost to eventual champion Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals. De Minaur has been in stellar form, as well, as he advanced all the way to the Toronto championship match before succumbing to Sinner.
