Miami Masters: Munar upsets a frustrated Medvedev to make third round
Jaume Munar defeated Daniil Medvedev 6-2, 6-3. He’ll face either Gael Monfils or No 26 seed Jiri Lehecka in the next round

Jaume Munar reached the third round of the Miami Masters by upending seventh-seeded Daniil Medvedev 6-2, 6-3 at the Hard Rock Stadium in a huge win for the Spaniard.
It was the first victory for Munar, ranked 56th in the world, against a top-10 player since October 2022, and only the second of his career.
Medvedev, meanwhile, once again let his emotions get the better of him as his unhappiness with the balls used became the focal point of his frustrations.
But Munar was very good value for his win, breaking three times without reply to seal a mammoth victory and move into the third round in Miami.
Munar, ranked No 56, will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Gael Monfils and No 26 seed Jiri Lehecka next.
Ahead of his victory, the Spaniard won against Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-3, 7-6 (5)).
