Miami Masters: Ruusuvuori moves into last 16

Finn Emil Ruusuvuori moved into the last 16 of the Miami Masters by winning against Japanese wildcard Taro Daniel 6-3, 7-6 (3) at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday evening.
Ruusuvuori reaches the round of 16 in Miami for the second time – the Finn improves to 7-2 lifetime at the Miami Open.
Ruusuvuori, ranked No 54, will face the winner of the match between Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 3 seed, and Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp, the No 26 seed, next.
The Finn defeated Portuguese qualifier Nuno Borges (6-1, 6-4) and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 22 seed (6-4, 7-6 (5)) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Miami Open, Daniel, ranked No 97, benefited from the abandonment of Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (4-1) and won against German Alexander Zverev, the No 13 seed (6-0, 6-4).
