Miami Masters: Davidovich Fokina beats Shang to reach third round

Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 27 seed, won against Chinese wildcard Juncheng Shang 6-3, 7-5 to advance to the third round of the Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 28, will face the winner of the match between Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 7 seed, and Frenchman Luca Van Assche next.
In the previous round of the Miami Open, Shang, ranked No 124, edged out Serb Miomir Kecmanovic (7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-6 (5)).
