Barrere stuns Norrie, notches first top 20 win in Miami

Frenchman Gregoire Barrere won against No 11 seed Cameron Norrie 6-3, 6-2 to reach the third round of the Miami Masters at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday night.
The victory is Barrere’s second consecutive win over Norrie – he also defeated the Brit at the US Open in 2019, 7-6(4) 6-4 4-6 6-7(5) 7-6(2).
Barrere, ranked No 65, will play American qualifier Christopher Eubanks next.
The Frenchman beat Russian qualifier Roman Safiullin (6-4, 3-6, 6-3) in the previous round of the Miami Open.
