Mexican Open: Ruud gets past Eubanks to reach second round
The Norwegian face the winner of the match between Mexican wildcard Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez and Serb Dusan Lajovic in the next round

Norway’s Casper Ruud, the No 6 seed, survived a tough battle against American Chris Eubanks to reach the second round of the Mexican Open at the Princess Mundo Imperial Resort in Acapulco on Tuesday.
Ruud, the runner-up in Los Cabos over the weekend, needed two hours and 14 minutes to beat Eubanks 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-3 and reach the last 16.
The Norwegian, ranked No 11, will play the winner of the match between Mexican wildcard Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez and Serb Dusan Lajovic next.
