Swede Mikael Ymer reached the second round of the Metz Open by defeating Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 8 seed, 7-5, 6-0 at Arènes de Metz on Wednesday.
Ymer, ranked No 100, will play the winner of the match between French qualifier Gregoire Barrere and German Oscar Otte next.
