Metz Open: Rublev edges past Sonego to reach quarter-finals
Andrey Rublev beat Lorenzo Sonego 7-6 (3), 7-5 and will face the winner of the match between Corentin Moutet and Jan-Lennard Struff in the next round

Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, beat Italian Lorenzo Sonego 7-6 (3), 7-5 to move into the last eight of the Metz Open at the Arènes de Metz.
Rublev, ranked No 9, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Corentin Moutet and German Jan-Lennard Struff, the No 7 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Metz tournament, Sonego, ranked No 51, won against French lucky loser Gregoire Barrere (6-4, 7-5).
