Metz Open: Barrere reaches second round

Frenchman Gregoire Barrere beat German Yannick Hanfmann, the No 7 seed, 7-6 (5), 6-4 to advance to the second round of the Metz Open at Arènes de Metz on Sunday evening.
Barrere, ranked No 85, will play the winner of the match between French qualifier Harold Mayot and Japanese Yosuke Watanuki next.
