Ymer sets up likely Medvedev clash in Metz
Mikael Ymer defeated Gregoire Barrere 6-4, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals

Swede Mikael Ymer set up a possible quarter-final against top seed Daniil Medvedev at the Metz Open after he beat French qualifier Gregoire Barrere 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the last eight on Thursday.
Ymer, ranked No 100, will play the winner of the match between Medvedev and three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka, who came through qualifying.
In the previous round of the Metz, the Swede defeated Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 8 seed (7-5, 6-0).
Barrere, ranked No 167, won against German Oscar Otte (7-6 (3), 7-5) during the first round of the Metz.
