Marseille Open: Korda scores 100th career win; faces Dimitrov next
Sebastian Korda edged out Hugo Grenier 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (3) on Tuesday and will face second seed Grigor Dimitrov in the next round
American Sebastian Korda edged out French qualifier Hugo Grenier 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (3) to reach the second round of the Marseille Open at the Palais des sports on Tuesday.
This was the milestone 100th career win for the American. He is the first American man born in the 2000s to record 100 career wins.
Korda also becomes the fifth man born in the 2000s to achieve the same after Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune:
Korda, ranked No 34, will face second seed Grigor Dimitrov next. The American leads the head-to-head between the two players 1-0.
