Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the top seed, won the Marseille Open trophy by defeating Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6-3, 7-6 (4) at the Palais des sports de Marseille on Sunday afternoon.
Hurkacz, ranked No 11, beat Swiss Leandro Riedi (4-6, 6-3, 6-2), Swede Mikael Ymer (6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (6)) and Kazakh Alexander Bublik (6-4, 7-6 (4)) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of the Open de Provence, Bonzi, ranked No 60, beat wildcard Luca Van Assche (7-5, 7-5), American Maxime Cressy, the No 5 seed (6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3), Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 3 seed (6-2, 6-4) and wildcard Arthur Fils (6-4, 6-4).
