Marseille Open: Gaston makes second round, defeats wildcard Shapovalov
Hugo Gaston defeated Denis Shapovalov 7-5, 1-6, 6-3 on Tuesday evening and will face No 4 seed Ugo Humbert in the next round

French qualifier Hugo Gaston won against Canadian wildcard Denis Shapovalov 7-5, 1-6, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Marseille Open at the Palais des sports on Tuesday evening.
Gaston, ranked No 86, will play No 4 seed Ugo Humbert next.
