Marseille Open: Second seed Sinner withdraws, Fils into quarter-final v Wawrinka
Arthur Fils benefited from the forfeit of Jannik Sinner on Thursday and will face Swiss Stan Wawrinka in the next round

French wildcard Arthur Fils advanced to the last 8 of the Marseille Open after Italian Jannik Sinner, the second seed, withdrew before the match at the Palais des sports de Marseille on Thursday evening.
Fils, ranked No 118, will play Swiss Stan Wawrinka next.
Ahead of his victory, the 18-year-old Frenchman won against Russian Roman Safiullin (6-4, 6-3).
