Marseille Open: Bublik through to second round

Kazakh Alexander Bublik won against French wildcard Richard Gasquet 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the second round of the Marseille Open at the Palais des sports on Tuesday.

The match was Gasquet’s last in Marseille, with the Frenchman due to retire from the sport at Roland-Garros this summer.

Bublik, ranked No 48, will play second seed Ugo Humbert next.
