Marseille Open: Bublik moves into quarter-finals

Kazakh Alexander Bublik moved into the quarter-finals of the Marseille Open by winning against Frenchman Gregoire Barrere 6-4, 6-2 at the Palais des sports de Marseille on Wednesday evening.
Bublik, ranked No 50, will face the winner of the match between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 4 seed, and Dutch qualifier Gijs Brouwer next.
Ahead of his victory, the Kazakh edged out Serb Filip Krajinovic (5-7, 6-3, 6-4).
Barrere, ranked No 58, beat Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round of the Open de Provence.
