Benjamin Bonzi beat wildcard Luca Van Assche 7-5, 7-5 to move into the second round of the Marseille Open at the Palais des sports de Marseille on Monday evening.
Bonzi, ranked No 60, will face the winner of the match between American Maxime Cressy, the No 5 seed, and French wildcard Geoffrey Blancaneaux next.
