Australian Christopher O’Connell reached the second round of the Marrakech Open by winning against Italian qualifier Riccardo Bonadio 7-5, 6-4 at the Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Tuesday.
O’Connell, ranked No 87, will face No 3 seed Botic Van De Zandschulp next.
