Marrakech Open: Kotov books spot in second round

Russian Pavel Kotov moved into the second round of the Marrakech Open by edging out Spaniard Pedro Martinez 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (5) at the Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Tuesday.

Kotov, ranked No 114, will play the winner of the match between Russian lucky loser Alexey Vatutin and Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi, the No 7 seed, next.
