Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 4 seed, won against Jakub Mensik 6-4, 6-4 to reach the last four of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club on Thursday.
Tabilo, ranked No 24, will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Gael Monfils, the No 6 seed, and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut next.
The Chilean beat Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko (6-3, 6-2) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of the Mallorca tournament, Mensik, ranked No 85, defeated American Christopher Eubanks, the No 8 seed (6-3, 3-6, 6-1) and edged out Italian wildcard Fabio Fognini (4-6, 6-3, 7-5).
