Mallorca Open: Shelton makes quarter-finals
Ben Shelton won against Rinky Hijikata 6-4, 6-0 on Wednesday evening. He’ll play qualifier Paul Jubb in the next round

American Ben Shelton, the top seed, won against Australian Rinky Hijikata 6-4, 6-0 to reach the last 8 of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club on Wednesday evening.
Shelton, ranked No 14, will face qualifier Paul Jubb next.
Hijikata, ranked No 75, edged out Italian Luca Nardi (6-2, 2-6, 7-5) in the previous round of the Mallorca tournament.
