Mallorca Open: Rinderknech knocks out compatriot Lestienne to move into last eight

Lucky loser Arthur Rinderknech won against Constant Lestienne 6-3, 6-2 to move into the last 8 of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club.

Rinderknech, ranked No 85, will face the winner of the match between Christopher Eubanks and No 3 seed Ben Shelton next.

Arthur Rinderknech beat Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas (7-6, 7-6 (3)) in the previous round of the Mallorca tournament.

In the previous round of the Mallorca tournament, Lestienne, ranked No 73, edged out Australian Jason Kubler (6-4, 4-6, 6-4).
