Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 8 seed, beat Belarusian Ilya Ivashka 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club.

Carballes Baena, ranked No 53, will play Frenchman Corentin Moutet next.
