Madrid Masters: Ruud reaches last 16

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 5 seed, beat No 29 seed Cameron Norrie 6-2, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Madrid Masters at the Caja Magica on Monday evening.

Ruud, ranked No 6, will play Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime next.

The Norwegian won against Serb Miomir Kecmanovic (6-4, 6-1) in the previous round of the Madrid tournament.

In the previous round of the Madrid tournament, Norrie, ranked No 30, won against Brazilian wildcard Joao Fonseca (6-1, 6-4).
