Spaniard Rafael Nadal advanced to the second round of the Madrid Masters by defeating American wildcard Darwin Blanch 6-1, 6-0 at the Caja Magica on Thursday evening.
Rafael Nadal will face No 10 seed Alex De Minaur next.
